Tablet Woes

Unfortunately for the past month or so my tablet has been acting up. Sometimes when I press the pen to the pad it won't work at all for seemingly no reason and other times even when I lift the pen off the pad it will still act as though I am pressing it down. I'm not sure how the tablets work exactly, if it's something to do with the pen itself or what. All I know is that my tablet is AT LEAST six or seven years old, so I think it's high time for a new one anyway. It's certainly served me well. The little button on the side of the pen broke off a while ago and the eraser button sticks a little, but other then that it's worked perfectly fine.
